Hot wings are popular and delicious. They are served just about everywhere from wedding receptions to Super Bowl parties and from World Series parties to NBA Playoffs parties.
You might think it takes a lot of time and effort to make hot wings, but the truth of the matter is it doesn’t take that long.
Sure, you have to go to the store and buy ingredients, but once you have them and you are ready to rock in the kitchen, it doesn’t take an awful lot of time to prepare and cook them.
The secret to making wings – hot, mild, lemon pepper etc. is definitely in the seasoning. You have to add the right amount of a variety of seasonings to cook delicious hot wings.
And the beautiful thing about it is you decide how hot and spicy you want them or whether you want them mild or barbecue or honey flavored.
You can even add your own toppings to your wings, such as green onions or dill pickle slices. Yes. Dill pickle slices. Don’t knock it until you try it – at least once.
After you learn how to make wings, you might skip a few trips to Buffalo Wild Wings and Wingstop and head to your kitchen instead.
Don’t be surprised if friends and family start asking you to bring the wings to house parties, baby showers or picnics in the park. And you know what? You will be happy to do so because your wings will be amazing.

1 THREE POUND BAG OF WINGS
1 TABLESPOON SMOKED PAPRIKA
1 TABLESPOON SEA SALT
1/4 TEASPOON BLACK PEPPER
1 TEASPOON CAYENNE PEPPER
3 CUPS CANOLA OIL
1/2 CUP HOT SAUCE
2 STALKS OF GREEN ONIONS
1 CUP OF ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
WARM CANOLA OIL IN LARGE SKILLET ON MEDIUM HEAT
SPRINKLE WINGS WITH PAPRIKA, SEA SALT, BLACK PEPPER AND CAYENNE PEPPER
POUR FLOUR INTO A BOWL WITH A LID
ADD WINGS TO FLOUR AND SHAKE TO COVER THEM
SHAKE OFF EXCESS FLOUR
CAREFULLY PLACE WINGS IN HOT CANOLA OIL
TURN WINGS CONSTANTLY
WHEN WINGS ARE GOLDEN BROWN REMOVE THEM FROM HEAT AND PLACE ON A PAPER TOWEL OR RACK TO ABSORB OIL
SPRINKLE WITH HOT SAUCE AND TOP WITH GREEN ONIONS
NOTE: You can also melt two sticks of butter in a sauce pan, add 1 cup of hot sauce, 1 teaspoon of yellow mustard, 1 teaspoon of cayenne pepper and 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt, stir then dip wings into the mixture, place on a plate with a couple stalks of celery and enjoy.
