Pancakes are one of my favorite foods. I can eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner every day of the week and never tire of them. I love their texture and taste. I like them fluffy or flat topped with just about everything – fruit, whipped cream, nuts, eggs, bacon, sausage. You get the idea. When I was looking for a new way to serve one of my old favorite recipes a few years ago around Mother’s Day, it occurred to me to try my heart shaped cookie cutters and low and behold they worked like magic.
The heart shaped pancakes were a hit with my mom. Her lips curled into a wide smile when she saw them. They really touched her heart and filled her stomach. Serving my mom heart shaped pancakes is one of many special memories I shared with her before she earned her wings in heaven that I cherish. You can create memories with you loved ones, too. Go ahead. Try the heart shaped pancake recipe below for Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day or any day you want to express your love to someone special. Click link to see how to make heart shaped pancakes.
