Salmon steak with a burst of lemon lime goodness is totally amazing.
I have prepared lemon lime salmon steak on the grill, baked in the oven, and cooked in a caste iron skillet on top of the stove. I must admit stove top in a skillet, a caste iron skillet is one of my favorite ways to cook it.
The aroma from the seasonings wafts through the air drawing everyone in the house to the kitchen like a magnet. Once there, no one wants to leave until it’s time to eat, which isn’t very long.
It doesn’t take a lot of time to prepare and cook lemon lime salmon steak. It takes about 15 minutes from start to finish depending on the size and thickness of the salmon steaks. Once seasoned and placed in the caste iron skillet time seems to tick-tock away at a rapid pace.
I serve lemon lime salmon steaks over a bed of lettuce as a salad or as a special entree during family celebrations, including birthdays, anniversaries and holidays. They are a family favorite and have been ever since I tried my hand at cooking them many moons ago.
I like to serve lemon lime salmon steaks with fresh asparagus, creamy garlic mashed potatoes, and fresh baked dinner rolls. Now that’s good eating.
