Crazy good sliders are just that – crazy good. I didn’t know anything about sliders until a few years ago. One day, I was sitting at home watching television, when a chef appeared on the screen.

He was talking about the food he was going to prepare for a fundraising gala. His menu included bite sized food such as, deviled eggs, shrimp poppers, and sliders.

I watched with great interest as the chef seasoned a pound of ground beef, made several small patties then cooked them in a skillet. Those miniature burgers sizzled as burgers do as they cooked, creating their own distinctive sound, which was music to my ears.

After the sliders were done, the chef slid those juicy patties between a pack of mini buns, dressed them up with condiments, and served them to the host.

The host took a bite out of one of the mini burgers then moaned with delight, “Hmmmm mmmm.” Any time food takes your words away and leaves you moaning, you know it must be good, crazy good.

I was so excited about those cute little burgers I couldn’t wait to make my own. I rounded up my ingredients and went to work.

Now, I must tell you I make a mean hamburger. So I figured, I would take my mean hamburger recipe and adapt it for sliders.

After a dash of this, a pinch of that, and a few tweaks here and there, my sliders were ready to go.

Oh my goodness. When I tell you my sliders recipe is like a slice of heaven on earth, believe that. They are good – crazy good! Try our sliders with our delicious onion rings and French fries.

INGREDIENTS

1 POUND GROUND BEEF 85% LEAN 15% FAT

1/3 CUP DICED YELLOW ONIONS

1/2 TEASPOON COURSE SEA SALT

1/2 TEASPOON FINE GROUND BLACK PEPPER

1 PACKAGE OF HAWAIIAN SWEET ROLLS

INSTRUCTIONS

MIX ONIONS WITH GROUND BEEF

ADD SALT AND PEPPER

FOLD INTO GROUND BEEF

PAT GROUND BEEF INTO CIRCLES OR SQUARES.

WARM SKILLET ON MEDIUM HEAT

ADD GROUND BEEF PATTIES TO SKILLET

COVER WITH LID

FLIP PATTIES AND COOK UNTIL DONE.

Havarti Cheese

Spinach

Red onion

Secret Sauce

*HOW TO MAKE SECRET SAUCE

INGREDIENTS

1 Tablespoon Pickle Radish

1 Tea Spoon Sour Cream

1 Tablespoon Worcheshire Sauce

1 Tablespoon Ketchup

3 Drops of Hot Sauce

2 Squirts of Mustard

*PEPPER JACK SLIDER

Pepper Jack Cheese

Dill Pickle Slices

Barbecue Sauce

*AMERICAN CHEESE SLIDER

American Cheese

Lettuce

Tomato

Dill Pickle

Mustard

Ketchup
