I know that may not sound amazing to you, but food presentation is important. Our experience with food begins long before we taste it. It begins with what we see, hear and smell.
The aroma of food is so powerful it can wake you from a deep sleep. The sound of food cooking — popcorn popping, steaks sizzling, chicken frying is like music to my ears.
When food is presented nice and elegantly, I get excited. Sometimes, I whip out my iPhone and take pictures to show my friends and family.
The food doesn’t have to be expensive or luxurious to get my heart knocking. It just has to taste delicious and present well on the plate.
That’s why I was thrilled when I saw the watermelon and mango hearts with red and green grapes. It’s a simple presentation for sure, but it looks awfully nice.
